The motto of every restaurant should be to serve the best and ensure the customers are happy. This single motto will take the restaurants to many heights. But the new heights should not kill the motto!
I am not new to Kamath restaurants. I have visited couple of them in Bengaluru and some in highways. They serve pretty decent food. But there seems to be no consistency.
The Kamath Restaurant in Mysore-Bangalore Road
Our orders here were Masala Dosa, Idly, Poori and Vegetable Pulao. All were disappointing except the idly which was not bad.
Masala Dosa
Masala Dosa is one of most ordered dish in a south Indian restaurant. There are restaurants like Vidhyarthi Bhavan in Bengaluru and Mylari in Mysuru which are famous for Masala Dosas. They serve the best one even today.
Surprisingly the Masala Dosa was disappointing here in Kamath restaurant. This being a noted restaurant, they cannot afford to disappoint a customer.
Vegetable Pulao
This order was an utter failure to us because we paid for it and didn’t enjoy the dish. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to order this here.
Poori Sagu
Our order was over cooked and was too oily. This isn’t healthy at all. I remember eating the best Poori Sagu in Komala Refreshments in Bengaluru.
Idly
Idly is something to look at for. They way it was presented; I guess this was prepared using the banana leaf, seems to be healthy too. There was no different in the taste, it’s worth a try.
